Element Superhero

This was a great in-class project to do during the last few weeks of school. Students were assigned an element and were instructed to create a superhero based on the element's properties. Here are some of the finished products. They aren't perfect but overall I was pleased.

I love this idea!! This is my first year teaching, and I am teaching 8th grade Science. I would really like to incorporate it in our Chemistry unit! Is there a sheet that you give your students with guidelins for this?

Hi Stephanie,
I love this idea!! Do you have a rubric by chance that you could share? Or perhaps the handout you give your students?

I also am looking for a rubric or the form you hand out to the students. I think this project will be a nice change of pace for our classroom. Hopefully you can help a 1st year teacher out. :)
